On February 28 2018, the Communities of Practice who participated in both the Edmonton and Québec City meetings then met at the FCM offices in Ottawa to sign the agreed Charter, further define and establish working groups that will carry out the short-term work of Asset Management Canada and plan future meetings (such as in Windsor May 14-17, 2018 as part of the CNAM Conference). The signatories of the Charter are: Atlantic Infrastructure Management (encompassing Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island), CEIRU (Quebec), Asset Management Ontario and the Ontario Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure (Ontario) Asset Management Saskatchewan, Infrastructure Asset Management Alberta, Asset Management BC and Yukon Asset management. Manitoba and NWT are also represented and will be forming similar groups. The Canadian Network for Asset Managers is also a key participant as the national community of practice structured as a professional association. The Ottawa meetings also included the FCM hosted MAMP Implementing Partners (IP) and Technical Working Group (TWG) meetings in Ottawa, Feb 28-March 2nd with other Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP) project proponents including (list all organizations here, with links). MAMP is delivered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and funded by the Government of Canada.
